A.T. Kearney Green Survey Results

In collaboration with The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Belgium A.T. Kearney’s consultants in Brussels conducted a survey to assess the Eco-sustainability performance of the AmCham members. In total 25 high profile multinational companies active in various industries participating to the survey.

The survey results were presented by A.T. Kearney during a meeting on the Green Best Practice Event, organized by the AmCham Belgium and the U.S. Embassy.
U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, Howard Gutman, addressed ‘The Politics of Our Climate Future'. Jean-Pascal van Ypersele, Vice-Chair, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Professor of Climatology at UCL put green practices of companies into a global perspective.

The survey addressed how companies take ecological sustainability into account in all aspects of their activities. Thanks to this valuable resource, companies will now be able to benchmark their green performance against other US and non-US companies.

In two Roundtables, leaders from US companies from a variety of industries operating in Belgium shared their on-going practices to become greener and cleaner, including specific sustainable business strategies and supply-chain implementation. Representatives from Nike, Procter & Gamble, , 3M, Johnson Controls, General Electric, FedEx and the US Overseas Building Operations Design and Engineering Division exchanged their ideas and perspectives on the topic with the audience. .

Three key take aways from the roundtables were:

  1. The need to rethink its business concept in light of eco-sustainability
  2. Embed sustainability in your business.
  3. Regulations can be of help to provide the right incentives
